If you could meet a historical figure, who would it be and why?
If I could meet a historical figure, it would be Jesus of Nazareth, the central figure of Christianity.
As the Bible says in Matthew 9:12-13, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick… For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Meeting Jesus would provide unparalleled insight into His teachings, life, and ministry.
I would ask Him about His sermons, miracles, and interactions with people. I’d love to discuss His teachings on love, forgiveness, and humility, as mentioned in Matthew 22:37-40 and Luke 10:25-37.
Jesus’ life and teachings offer invaluable lessons for spiritual growth, such as:
1. Love and compassion (Matthew 25:31-46)
2. Forgiveness and mercy (Luke 15:11-32)
3. Humility and servanthood (John 13:1-17)
4. Faith and trust (Matthew 17:20)
5. Selflessness and sacrifice (John 15:13)
Meeting Jesus would be a transformative experience, deepening my understanding of God’s love and grace. As the Bible says in Revelation 22:21, “The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.”
May we continue to learn from Jesus’ teachings and follow His example, growing in faith and spiritual wisdom.
